@analog56x I'd soak the broken off bolt in PB Blaster (penetrating spray). Then I'd get the dremel out and put a nice deep slot into the broken off stud so I can get a big flathead screwdriver in there and turn it out. You may have to heat the area a little wiht a propane torch. I'm not a big fan of ez-out extractors because, well, I've broken enough of them off in the bolt I'm trying to extract, lol. The dremel-slot-flathead method has worked well for me over the years.

how would you get a broken exhaust stud out? i tried with my vice grips, but there was only like 1/4" max sticking out...
