It's Assamese language, so it is very similar to Bengali I guess. Are Assameses and Bengalis the same people?

I am guessing that natives of Assemese speak different language than the Bengali. I think, Bengali language came after migration of Bengalese in that area and it became the dominant language. After that, they became the majority and natives became the minorities. Benagal language have been adapted by many areas from northern part of India. You know what I mean...

Well I am half assamese and i am watching this video firstly coz i wanted to know how to cook masar tenga and also because I wanted to hear someone speak in assamese so it solves my purpose. But yes I do agree with u that majority assamese people do know this receipe so to target bigger audience and make non assamese people aware of assamese dishes maybe providing subtitiles or another english version would have been a good idea :)
