i have my own note book that i use as my own book of shadows and 3 quarters of the way through it ( writting in it ) since my granfather passed away and love doing wicca myself. blessed be to all

@xXpurplenurple007Xx the best thing to do starting out is to read as much as you can on wicca in general :) try Kate West or Scott Cunningham. they are good authors. try going to your local library and borrowing books on it :) and yes Blessed Be is a phrase we use, which i think u can just translate to mean "may you be blessed"

@epona1982 You can get many fancy ones just by searching online, on ebay or amazon. But honestly the best ones are just ring binders or ordinary writing journals for a stationary shop. x

@Wabe I bought it from a local witchy shop that used to be in my town. The owner just covered an ordinary notebook with leather and decorated it :)

It's very nice and we can see that You really take care of it. I like that You called it "Book of Spells" and not "Book of Shadows" cause I believe that this term is reserved only for that book which is used in Alexandrian and Gardnerian Wicca. I mean: Wicca. Because as I know there are no other Wiccan traditions ;)

Could you tell me how you manage your time to fit in concentrating on both your A level work and religious workings? I really struggle with this and find myself just concentrating on Wicca and doing no Uni work!! I am failing and need some help as I am loosing all motivation and interest in Uni work as I am that fascinated with Wicca. I would like Wicca to help me reach A's and B's like you do at Uni. Thank you.

@lengkitten It is really hard - there's no denying. But the core of it is will power. My problem is that I enjoy reading about wicca more than I do, doing homework or reading A Level books. So I read my wiccans books :/ But thas has to stop. We need to get all the work out of the way before we can then relax and reward ourselves.

Weekend are my days of rest - I stay up all night and be witchy. Weekdays I work. x

@Pagyptsian Also, a good thing i do is I have a crystal grid going on. Every morning I activate my grid (which is doing witchy stuff) and it helps me focus on my studies. Also every morning I pray to Thoth to help me learn. So if you can bring Wicca in to your studies then it can work fine!

You're handwriting is to good, I love your lettering. My books never look as neat because I find myself comming up with things that I just jot them down and than later go back thinking "I could have written that neater" So my books usually look really buldgy. Lovely vid as always keep up the good work ^^

I have real issues with handwriting...and no matter how neatly I try to write (even if i start out well, my hands get quite tired and my writing ends u an awful mess) I have always heard these should be handwritten, but this task is very daunting for me. Do you feel it is ok to type up this journaling, documention and findings (perhaps in an old world fnt) and NOT redo it in my own hand??? TY.

@hipretty I think that is absolutely fine! If handwriting it only makes it hard and a difficult experience, then it loses its specialness. I think printing it off will look just a nice and you can write much much more! :)

@stealth1692 Well I (and any wiccans) would NEVER dream of it. And really a curse can't really work. All it would do is force negative energies on someone - if this someone 'deserves it' then they'd have the bad energies with them. If they didn't then their goodness will dispel your curse. So really just leave it to Karma.

Cos if you do a curse, you too become cursed.

@Pagyptsian They say that a magick name may change many times in a person's life, so although it may have once been your name, it is very possible to outgrow it. My name came from a dream I had, I didn't remember what it was about, but I remembered that name. When I looked into it, it meant 'Beautiful' and 'Thankful'. It just grew on me, until it finally occurred to me that it must have been my own name. So, I kept it.

@lonelyqueen9 Hmm.. Well I make a little title page and then I always put the Wiccan rede at the front. From then on I just add as I go along. Whatever I do next on my path, a ritual, a spell, some divination will just go in next.

Although some people choose to have all their things written up and then add them to the book after so it can look all professional and in order?

This just poped into my head while you were flipping through the pages: You had the Egyptian pantheon in there, would it still be "wicca" if you chose to worship all of those deities? I mean, because most people say wicca has only a god and goddess that take on different names for different rituals or they worship one aspect of the deities.

Ahh that's a big question! Well in some traditions Wiccans do worship polytheistically so it's up to you.

Hey Olivia. I love the olde english type writing. Its lovely. I had a weird moment the other night about book of shadows. I couldnt sleep at all, and had this sudden idea for my book of shadows, and wrote a text which i saved to remind mewhat it was. Im going to use several, One being my working book, and ones for herbalism and recipes, one for incense etc, one fro dream logs, one for divination and one for crystals. I was so excited, where can i get some good journals?.
