I never understood the point of the SRT-4. I had an import(mexico version) dodge stratus that came with most of the parts they eventually put on these neons from the turbo to the brake upgrades etc... and I think it looked better. The neon to me has always been a chick car
Not all srt-4 owners are cocky. I happen to own one and I know I'd lose against a lot of cars out there. Mine only runs 13.42@113.55 with a garbage 2.37 60ft. My wife's 06 gt can out run it at the track with just bolt-ons and a 125 shot. It runs 12.29@114.3 on street tires. Very few srt-4 owners are humble. But very few of them are old enough to drink either.

@albert1124 have you ever seen a built srt4?? Any srt4 with more then 16 psi will have traction issues even on the freeway. A bone stock 4 cyl tiburon runs high 17's in the 1/4 while a stock srt4 runs mid to high 13's. So yes, that piece of shit is built. All I was refering to is who ever edited the video is a dipshit for even saying he raise his boost to 19. Any srt4 on 19 psi would smash that tiburon lol

As far as your "dime a dozen" statement, there were less than 30,000 produced from 2003 to 2005. To put that into perspective there were 160,000 mustangs made in 2005 alone. srt4s are fairly rare and have held their value quite well.

@hollow121314 Not a lot. Intake, Headers, Exhaust, light weight flywheel, lightweight crank pully, short throw, after market clutch. It has issues. Like every car it has plenty of potential with plenty of money thrown into it. I shoulda done my research before buying it. I still love it as ive rebaged it to the korean "tuscani". People have no idea what it is. Actually was asked once if it was like a ferrari or lambo. Obviously not everyone is that off but it gets plenty of looks.
@hollow121314 I repainted it too so that helped. The main issue with the tib is the only way to make it fast quick is to put a blower on it and that costs too much. If you want to make it all motor might as well sell it and buy something else. Like I said I love the way the car looks and sounds, but it costs a lot to make quick. The quickest is like a 10.7 that I know of and it was dual charged. SC/TC. Anyways like I said I respect the SRT-4's just wouldnt personally buy one.
@hollow121314 My buddy got a 2010 Mazdaspeed3. It was pretty impressive untill I saw one at the track. It was stock but it was running 16.5's. not as good as I thought. I think my next car will boil down to 370, G37, or the Gen Coupe. Prolly get the Gen as its close to both the others and is a pretty good amount cheaper.
my mistake, i hit the wrong button and didnt check what i wrote. 14 psi is correct for stock. not 15 however. stage 2 is 18-19 psi. the turbo runs out of th efficiency range past 19 psi, which is why a larger turbocharger is needed and used for the stage 3 upgrade. 25 psi is pushin it for even a factory s3 however.
@SRT4bobby ...acually u can run 21psi on stock turbo with an srt4, with bigger injecters and shit..and you dont have to be a stage 2 and run 18-19psi all you need is a dsp and a custom street tune
Tiburon Tuscani Supercharger: 13.320 @ 106.380 in the 1/4 mile . where a stock srt4 only does 14.5 sec in a 1/4 mile so there for srt4 need a upgrade to beat the tibby
I have an 04 Tiburon GT, I have to admit its not the fastest thing out there by a long shot, but its not the slowest either. What is the whole concept that they are so horrible? I mean, think of an Evo 8, if your want to drag vs a ferrari you put in a few mods, you can match it or beat it. The whole concept, you would be the same or better than a 200k car in a 30k car. Why not do the concept with a tiburon?

The Tiburon is shit, not to rag on your vehicle, but for speed it is absolute crap. Very difficult to modify amongst other things, and racing VTECs like that's supposed to impress someone? C'mon dude, my Jeep Wrangler messes all over VTECs.... so yeh... Also, CAI is a waste of money, anyone who spends enough time under the hood of a car should know that, you'd be better off stubbing your factory airbox and replacing it with a K&N right where it sits, you'd get the same HP gain, if not more.

You can throw exhaust on a motorcycle in 10 minutes, does that mean it's easy to find a turbo kit of a Ducati 675 Monster? No, you're highly misguided, go somewhere.
actually the boost is set at around 12 or 13. dependent on the dealer and company. cobalts are usually t 13 srts are usually around 12 just because of the smaller engines and tibys dont usually come with turbs unless u order them. tibbys are way faster anyway. i just bought a 03 tibby gt v6 and crushed an 09 370. no turbo or anything. so dont allways think that cause a car has a turbo or supercharger its faster

Well, it's a lot more then a base supercharger. They run mid 15s stock and an SRT-4 runs high 13s. A S/C won't shave off 2 seconds alone. Put $500 into that SRT-4 and it'd be a cakewalk.
ok dude had 18psi on the SRT4 so obviously it was upgraded. alpine S/C kit stage 3 puts down 265whp and i'm not sure but the tib is possibly lighter by 100lb, plus linear torque will surprise you cause it pulls so smooth. my 98 regal factory is 240hp (eaton M90) and 3.6k lb. int/exh/pull is only about 270hp and runs low 14's 99 mph with about 95 octane (mix),Factory gearing is 2.93 FD auto. I watch 99-04 mustangs run high to mid 14's at less than 96mph with intake and exhaust starting at 260hp.
at least they're fun as hell to drive. its not the manufacturers fault. its the god damn union workers askin for more and more money and they're dumbfounded when they move plants overseas.
when we first got the srt-4s in they hit 15 and held 14 if you run a direct vac line from intake pressure to WGA to bypass the BCS it is about 5psi so you have to install a bleeder or a ball and spring BC. The srts that i worked on didnt react well to bleeder types and the stock turbo is most effective at 19psi with injectors and a cutout or less restrictive cat.
your only pussing 11 psi in that srt4 r u kidding me a stock srt4 can push at least 13 and with just a little bolt on's you could push like maybe 15 to 16 u didnt need that like 600 dollar screen in ur car u should of got upgrades but still nice car and its fast but it could be way fuckin faster

finding performance parts for a tiburon is hard! the reason it's hard it because the car sucks. That is why K&N won't even make a performance custom intake for that car. Better off getting a civic si stock to stock si wins anytime.
well obviously you've never gone looking for parts for a tiburon cause many companies make aftermarket parts for them including AEM, Greddy, Injen, etc. thats not even scratching the surface of hyundai specific companies, who cater to making parts just for tibs. by the way, si's.... only fast once they hit vtec, which takes too long.

so you supercharge a tiburon and it keeps up with a basically bone stock srt-4, i mean these guys are cocks..but look at it this way they probably paid way to much for that car, but to say the srt-4 is a shit car is being stupid, its a strong block on a solid platform by 2002 they had worked out all body issues and the srt-4 eliminated the brake problem all together, the only issue i've encountered is the 2.4l had exessive crank play, in which case you would get a new shortblock from chrysler.
If you are on pcm controlled boost you can't. If you are off and have an ebc it will adjust the cycle rate to where you can boost 4 psi if you wanted to.
the Tibs "big" V6 has a whopping .3 liters more displacement than the Neons I4. It's a toss up. I like 'whine' of a roots S/C over a Turbo 'whistle' and BOV. And there is a little bit of a "girly car" factor w/ the Hyundai cuz they make an Automtc one. That's all I got to say about that. Cool Vid though.

I have an 04 Tiburon GT, I have to admit its not the fastest thing out there by a long shot, but its not the slowest either. What is the whole concept that they are so horrible? I mean, think of an Evo 8, if your want to drag vs a ferrari you put in a few mods, you can match it or beat it. The whole concept, you would be the same or better than a 200k car in a 30k car. Why not do the concept with a tiburon?

ok for one thing the factory srt is at 15 pounds of boost your at 11 do you have and boost leak or some thing. The srt 4 can go up to 25 pound with stange 2 computer

The Tiburon is shit, not to rag on your vehicle, but for speed it is absolute crap. Very difficult to modify amongst other things, and racing VTECs like that's supposed to impress someone? C'mon dude, my Jeep Wrangler messes all over VTECs.... so yeh... Also, CAI is a waste of money, anyone who spends enough time under the hood of a car should know that, you'd be better off stubbing your factory airbox and replacing it with a K&N right where it sits, you'd get the same HP gain, if not more.

LMAO exhaust and a reflash for ONE, won't take you to 250wh, maybe 250bh at the very best. For two, those are 2 simple modifications, I was referring to FI applications and support for those. It's next to impossible to find reasonably priced kits etc for a Tiburon/Tuscani. You can throw exhaust on a motorcycle in 10 minutes, does that mean it's easy to find a turbo kit of a Ducati 675 Monster? No, you're highly misguided, go somewhere.

actually the boost is set at around 12 or 13. dependent on the dealer and company. cobalts are usually t 13 srts are usually around 12 just because of the smaller engines and tibys dont usually come with turbs unless u order them. tibbys are way faster anyway. i just bought a 03 tibby gt v6 and crushed an 09 370. no turbo or anything. so dont allways think that cause a car has a turbo or supercharger its faster

Well, it's a lot more then a base supercharger. They run mid 15s stock and an SRT-4 runs high 13s. A S/C won't shave off 2 seconds alone. Put $500 into that SRT-4 and it'd be a cakewalk.

ok dude had 18psi on the SRT4 so obviously it was upgraded. alpine S/C kit stage 3 puts down 265whp and i'm not sure but the tib is possibly lighter by 100lb, plus linear torque will surprise you cause it pulls so smooth. my 98 regal factory is 240hp (eaton M90) and 3.6k lb. int/exh/pull is only about 270hp and runs low 14's 99 mph with about 95 octane (mix),Factory gearing is 2.93 FD auto. I watch 99-04 mustangs run high to mid 14's at less than 96mph with intake and exhaust starting at 260hp.

when we first got the srt-4s in they hit 15 and held 14 if you run a direct vac line from intake pressure to WGA to bypass the BCS it is about 5psi so you have to install a bleeder or a ball and spring BC. The srts that i worked on didnt react well to bleeder types and the stock turbo is most effective at 19psi with injectors and a cutout or less restrictive cat.

finding performance parts for a tiburon is hard! the reason it's hard it because the car sucks. That is why K&N won't even make a performance custom intake for that car. Better off getting a civic si stock to stock si wins anytime.

well obviously you've never gone looking for parts for a tiburon cause many companies make aftermarket parts for them including AEM, Greddy, Injen, etc. thats not even scratching the surface of hyundai specific companies, who cater to making parts just for tibs. by the way, si's.... only fast once they hit vtec, which takes too long.

so you supercharge a tiburon and it keeps up with a basically bone stock srt-4, i mean these guys are cocks..but look at it this way they probably paid way to much for that car, but to say the srt-4 is a shit car is being stupid, its a strong block on a solid platform by 2002 they had worked out all body issues and the srt-4 eliminated the brake problem all together, the only issue i've encountered is the 2.4l had exessive crank play, in which case you would get a new shortblock from chrysler.

If you are on pcm controlled boost you can't. If you are off and have an ebc it will adjust the cycle rate to where you can boost 4 psi if you wanted to.

the Tibs "big" V6 has a whopping .3 liters more displacement than the Neons I4. It's a toss up. I like 'whine' of a roots S/C over a Turbo 'whistle' and BOV. And there is a little bit of a "girly car" factor w/ the Hyundai cuz they make an Automtc one. That's all I got to say about that. Cool Vid though.
