@kk I fit in just fine prior to joining my fraternity. I don't see the logic in your comment. Have you ever noticed that its usually the people who already fit in who join the fraternities? Just saying, you have to mingle and make contact with certain people to even be accepted as a pledge in the first place, so you wouldn't see many outsiders joining fraternities. Plus being a fraternal insider I know the mission of these organizations, especially my own and we do much more than get attention.

That kid was an adult...he chose to participate in hazing activities (which IMO are archaic and have no place on college campuses). I rushed a few times (never decided to go through with it) & I can tell u it isn't true what they say about them beating u up & paddling u & shit. They do verbally make fun of u, make u clean shit, etc...but a lot of times they embarrass themselves more than u lol. I work on a college campus and oversee student life....and NO, I am not in a fraternity. Military organizations, club sports, and other types of student organizations haze as well. The co-ed business club at my school has a major record of hazing. Yes, some fraternity and sorority chapters are guilty of hazing....but not all!

Maybe we need to start mandating Order 66, which would grant authorities for immediate execution without questions of fraternity leaders that are involved in these hazings. This will definitely send a message out to the public and reduce Fraternity hazings.

This situation is truely sad. However, what people arent realizing is that the pledges arent FORCED to drink the alcohol. They have the option to leave at any time they want. It is their choice to drink the alcohol, they could easily get up and leave. I do not for a second agree with the parents comments that "my son would never agree to this". It was his choice.

Still, the amount of alcohol was alot to give regardless. It could have been handled better. But I dont wanna hear ppl bitching
