For those of you wondering why he is packing... Richmond "IS" that bad at times.

I think you might be taking it to the extreme... I can recommend two things...

1> Lower the color settings when you are taking your pictures, bleeding colors ruin HDR composure, and can be amplified during Tonemapping

2> Lessen the bracketing, and take more exposures... Lack of photodata creates black, adding to the cartoony look.

If you want HDR to look unrealistic, shoot 3 pictures that are -2, 0, +2.

If you are looking for a realism, shoot 9 exposures, set 1/2 steps apart.

Cameras are good money, and most photographers are busy looking through the lens... thugs tend to snatch a camera and run... what thugs don't realize, is that a good photographer, usually has pretty solid aim... hence Carrying.

you've got some dust on your sensor, time for a cleaning! How many stops over/under do you usually go? I haven't tried this yet because I don't have a program that does it but I think I'm going to get a plug-in for photoshop lightroom2. I mostly shoot wildlife so I don't know if I'll really be able to do this since I only have big lenses. Good to see some other photographers/gun nuts!

@whitey211 DAMN! You noticed the dust. Yeah I just shot this with a D40 playing around, its my backup cam. And I have BLOW the hell out of that camera. So its time to be taken in for a cleaning. Ive just started doing it. So I dropped my stops really low and really high in some shots and in some I backed off a little. And yes photographer by day/ gun nut by night haha.

Richmond is a pretty cool place to goto in VA haven't been there in a while, need to get back down sometime. Fairfax gets pretty boring, when you're broke that is lol, but at least there's the firearms museum, and the NRA building at Fair Oaks.  5*s great photos!
