  • hello..thx so much for your videos i watched most of them and its helped me alot >>i wanna ask you plz about lexar professional 300x 32 gb is it good for films or the patriot 32gb 266x compact flash.im shotting my documanery film so i need ur advice also what the best video type format that i should converts the video to ??

    :)

  • would you recommend the same disc if im not planning on a lot of video, thanks

  • i bought Lexar Pro 8gb UDMA 400x for my Canon 7D, and have some lag time and skipping does anyone know why ?, is it the card or i'm doing something wrong in my setting ? help !!!

  • Sandisk Extreme is over priced and not necessary if you are looking to shot mainly in video. If you are only bothered about stills then it's not a bad option.

  • Is 300X fast enough for the Canon 7D?

  • please ... who are the best 7d or 5d mark 2 ? for shooting videos ... and why ...

  • I really love your videos, man. Really informative! Bought the 7D + 24-105mm f/4 L + Sandisk 32 GB Extreme pro. What would you suggest as microphone? And what would be the best lens for video? Tokina?

    Cheers!

  • @Anticlimaximum777 if you haven't bought one yet I would recommend a zoom H4N for audio. probably one of the best investments for good sound. you do have to sync the audio to the video in the computer afterwards but you get 4 channels two of which have phantom power for any mic you might want to use

  • Basically I would not advice getting anything SLOWER than 233x 32GB around $100 good enough

  • I bought a bunch of 16gig CF cards for about 20$ each and some 8gigs for about 9$, in a marked in China last year. I have used them alot and they works great with my 7d!

  • what speed should i get for good video?

  • hi there, you are great!

  • What s the deal with speed of the card

  • @jacknick the speed of the card means that it will record the data from the camera faster onto the card. So if you are taking multiple action shots or high quality video, the camera is creating a lot of data. Fast card speeds will record this data faster.

  • Hi I just bought a canon 7d with a great memory card, when i shoot it only lets me shoot for 6 seconds and then the video stops, when it does this the red light comes on and a meter on the screen shows, can you help me out? I am so frustrated.

  • @MissCrimeScene Most likely the card is too slow, or defective. You'll need to buy another card and try it.

  • can i substitute the Sandisk Extreme by using laptop. Do u know any softwares that use to film for canon to directly save in laptop?

  • how rude of you!

  • @miloszimazik What's wrong with YOUR manners?

  • @miloszimazik why does it matter??

  • Thinking of using my memory stick duo CF converter from my sony camera for this has anyone done this with success

  • when i transfer the video to a PC .. the video is staggered... does it something to do with my card am using sandisk extreme

  • I'm having the same trouble. I use sandisk extreme III 4Gb

  • i shoot with kingston 133x 32gig cards...with a 7d... they work perfect and only cost 70 bucks each...140 minutes of 1080p 24p... no problems... for 8fps shooting i use .extreme 3s...check out my samples shot with the kingstons...

  • Will Class 6 card be good for 7D video shooting?

  • Good to know... thanks. Also I like your username, shows you've got balls.

  • Wow! Thanks so much! It's like pulling teeth to find out what the best card would be to use with the 7D! Thanks again!

  • rebate expired !! up to september 2009

  • When shooting full 8fps is the the extreme III fast enough not to be the bottle neck?

  • I just got a 8GB Sandisk Ultra ( 30MB/S ) allthough not the extreme version i cant find the difference between the Etreme 3 vs the New Ultras

  • I was told that shooting video with the 7D you should have at least 60mb's. Can anyone confirm this?

  • on the 7d's owner manual states that card should be at least 8MB/s of read/write speed. I'd recomend to use the 45MB/s, which is very fast and besides all card readers today won't transfer files from card above 45mb/s, maybe in the future but for now since price different is considerable i'd stick to the 45Mbs.

  • Rebate has ended, according to the date on the rebate itself.

  • Hi! I have the 7D with Extreme III 16gb card. I tested video in various image size but for some reason, it seems frames are dropping and i get many jagged edges. Does it has something to do with the CF card. Plz help me out, i dont know what to do. The video is not smooth, i do have a fast computer and have tried playing the MOV file, also imported it in Premiere and then rendered it, but still, the problem exists as there is something wrong with the raw files.

  • Finally I found some answers, 30 min of footage with 16GB card, 1080P?

  • I got 3 8GB Extreme IV's for $66. They were $300 for a 3 pack at Adorama, got 11% bing cashback (-$33) and $200 rebate. That was all during the last rebate which ended 9/26. Amazing deals.

  • Thanks! Great heads-up on the rebate.
