  • Wut engine size is this?? 2.8?? Nice fast take off man....

  • @JUANITO5338 It had 2 W16 motors installed....

  • nice

  • Pontiac Fiero - America´s answer to Toyota MR2 with V6 engine instead of a I4

  • 9 haters had mid-engine fires in the 1980's :)

  • Glass-packs would sound better...

  • @Thirdgen83 nuhh uhh

  • @falconwing1 Seriously. I know a guy with a '86 Fiero with glass-packs. 'Sounds really good...

  • @Thirdgen83 nuhh uhh,....

  • I used to have a 1988 fiero GT with t tops and it was totaled in 1998. I miss that car. If was fun to drive. I was going thur a traffic light when someone ran a red light hitting me and I was pissed off about my car.

  • all this talk about pontiac being discontinued.. maybe in the US, but pontiac still lives on in australia. they still even make the GTO.

  • wow looks like a 90s 300ZX

  • @Jaket2000 Ya I thought the same thing. It almost seems as if nissan took styling cues of the tail lights because the 300zx like that came out in 89, which just happens to be the year after the fiero

  • @bphockey23 Wouldn't be supprised, Nissan coppied them with the 300ZX in 1984. Half of it is a Camaro pretty much.

  • do you have custom tailights on your fiero? been tryin to find some for my 87gt but havnt had any luck. would you kno where to get them?

  • @lild7073 nope..they were stock 88GT

  • I love fieros. I have a 1986 with a 2.8. Man that thing pulls; always smashing ricers. And have only taken two mustangs. Didnt smoke'm, just took them... If that makes sense.

  • im scared cuz my dad wants to sell his mint condition 84 fiero for a 91 miata...girls car.....fuck....

  • I can vouch for the handling. In my 84 SE I could take a couple 25 mph curves around here at 45 and if I would have been really daring it would have taken them at 55 no problem. I just didn't want to be too unsafe not knowing what was coming around the corner at me. LOL

  • what the f*** is a suprtrapp?

  • I think its the brand of his exhaust?

  • I owned an '87 Fiero GT & I really didn't care that it ran so hot (95degree thermostat). The cooling fan was always on during the summer. I thought the Fieros were great cars. I'm talking about the '87-88 V6 models where they had the Pontiac letter light up in the back. Pontiac shouldn't have discontinued these cars. They should've just improved them mechanically. Bad decision from Pontiac. They should've discontinued the dreadful Grand Am. That car sucked.

  • @p4horror maybe they will bring it back like the mustang and the charger, challenger, that would be really cool

  • ahaha pontiac doesnt exist anymore...they shut down due to that recession

  • @p4horror Yeah, the Grand Am was a real turd. Only sold about 4,000,000 of them. What fools.

  • @snowman44077 Maybe those bungholes should've bought Fieros instead. The Fiero was 100x more the car the Grand Am was. But if you preferred the Grand Am, knock yourself out.

  • @p4horror I had an 86 fastback GT auto, so I can agree. Just saying that the automakers need their bread-and-butter big sellers so they can stay alive to produce the lesser selling toys like the Fiero.

  • @p4horror i'm glad the didn't continue making this car because they ended on a good note...i saw the concept fiero they were gunna make in 1990 and it looks identical to the last generation firebirds which i think are thee uglyiest shitty looking car ever made...

  • @mrJYjelly Lol. Yeah I saw that awful prototype Fiero also. I made a similar comment on another clip and referenced that ugly Firebird body as well (it really did look like a mini bird). I don't know what happened to Pontiac after they stopped the Fiero. Their styling choices were so bad, in my opinion. Their last bad decision was the GTO. Good engine with the 6.0 V8 but it looked so bland & boring. Anyway, back to the Fiero. I agree, if that's what they were conjuring up then forget about it.

  • @p4horror They were forced to be discontinued because it endangered GM's precious bette.

  • Not a chance... I could take 35 mph cormers @ 65 mph in that car....it had fantastic suspension and grip.

  • the 1988 fiero was the only year worth buying, but they did handle awesome cause they used a copy of a lotus suspension.

  • i loved doing that in my FC when it was healthy.

  • it is so good to see there are more fieros out there that still have life left to them...cant wait for my build to come together.... such a long list of things... i picked mine up for a thousand bucks yep yep 85 GT notchy :D

  • then drop your peice of shit and grab a fiero :) then stuff it up with an ls1 and a getrag 6 and go spank some mustangs :)

  • Pontiac makes the Fiero... fail

  • i think he was talking about his escort.

  • What type of exhaust is that?

  • Supertrapp

  • that exhaust seems like it would be very restrictive, i googled it and they are actually very good, you can tune the muffler to your car. =)

  • Yeh....that is true. It was a lot of fun, and easy to change the sound by adding or subtracting discs...

  • Ill take your word for that because I never drove my Fiero's in rain!

You must only have the 6cyl rustang because I dated a chick with a 2004 GT auto that had next ZERO traction in the rain!

Good thing you got the low powered 6 cyl or you would be SOL! Smart move for a daily driver. Probably saved a lot getting a lesser car too!

  • Sleepery? experieance?

I dont think you should be driving at all bud =)

  • What the hell are you talking about? Fiero out handles a Mustang any time of day. Your suspension, springs, and bushings are probably worned out. I go through curves that recommends 25mph at a speed of 45mph without a hiccup.

I've taken my Fiero on Autocross on a wet pavement.

  • Not to say anyhting to the contrary, because I will admit the Fiero is a good car, but my Saturn SL2 could also do the same, not even squeek the 185/65s Im riding on.

Props on the ride man, I'd love to have any Fiero any day!

  • @Jinppa Have to disagree with you there. Have you seen the Vettes beating the Porches in cornering. Haven't you seen the GTO in cross racing?

I've owned mostly imports: Civic (daily driven), BMW M5, Mercedes 280, and such and I will tell you that my Fiero will out corner any of them, plus mine has worn out bushings too.

  • @Naturalhit

Vettes outperforming Porsches in corners? It's of course possible, but those cars do not have any stock parts left in suspension. You can build ugly ass Nissan Micra to go fast in corners, it just won't be even close to stock car.

Civic is jap (they have always had poor handling) and M5 and Merc are both heavy cars, thus never going to be good cornering machines. Best handling car from europe, that's same era as Fiero, but a lot cheaper one - 205GTi. Outperforms both MR2 Mk1 and Mk2

  • That was quite the launch, is it just the 2.8L V6?

  • Yep...

  • I must be doing something terribly wrong then with my launches. =(

  • i never really like those but what size engine do they have?

  • Stock the Fiero had either a 4 cyl 2.4, the GT like this one is was a 2.8 6cyl.

If you look at my other Fiero posted, it was a V8 LT1, but that was custom installed.

  • 88 is the year to have. I've always wanted one.

  • The only real difference is some looks and a suspension, where better could be had in the aftermarket. After that you just have year-specific parts which will end up costing you more!

  • yea u get the best suspension setup..i always wanted a V6 88 notchback

  • looks pretty fast. very nice lookin

  • Gorgeous Fiero. A lot of people despise those cars. I can appreciate any car as long as I consider it appealing to the eyes. I really like this one.

  • Took off nice!
