Fahrenheit 451 is a great book, but I don't think this song is based off of it. Sure, they have elements of fire and of giant, controlling TV screens in common, but the song portrays fire as the liberator while the book portrays fire as the enemy and destroyer. Pretty strong contrasts for one to be based off the other.

What do you think of Rumors of my Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated (off Siren Song)? I wouldn't say it's my favorite since it's like a 10 way tie, but it probably stands out the most to me because of the truly beautiful lyrics that I can relate to and killer chorus.
