I wonder how many people know that that clapping and whistling at the end was also produced on the moog?...given the technology at the time, this album is a masterpiece.
I had been looking for this record for years. A couple of years back I found an american dealer with a box of these still in wrap foil. I bought one, played both sides once on my Technics turntable while i was converting it to MP3 to have it in excellent quality for the rest of my life. This is really an amazing work of art since everything is made using dubbing/layered recording technique since they didn't have polyphonic synthezisers at that time.
Looking everywhere for this! My mom used to rotate this record quite often when i was a wee tot. More entrancing to me then, but the nostalgia pours itself heavily and makes me like it chasm leaps more.
I've listened to many Bolero versions but this edition has always been my favorite. I have the record that has the couple kissing one another which is Leonard Bernstein verson of the piece on one side and this version on the other.
the best demostartion of the moog synthesizer ever

You should try uploading this again in unabridged form, You Tube allows much longer videos now.

Same, I remember this was one of my favorite records from my dad's collection. Other included Switched-on Bach and Tomita's Firebird...

My Dad had this on 8 track when I was a kid. I haven't heard it in close to forty years! Thanks for putting it up!

squish-squish.....squish-squish.....squish-squish. Too funny.
My nephew produces DJ's and used this sample for some of their work.
At least you cleaned your heads before transfer and used a decent reel-to-reel.
I get SO tired of YouTube being polluted with all these transfers from raggedy vinyl on crap turntables with trashed-out styluses.
