It still is a favourite album, great lyrics, great music. Listening to this will bring me back in time. This is f*cking great !! Thanks for posting this. I've got "Playing With A Different Sex" on vinyl underneath a pile of junk somewhere. I've nothing to play it on anyway, so I've just ordered their Anthology CD.

I saw them live in Aberdeen back in 1981 and they were excellent. Some eejit gobbed on Lesley Wood (not a wise move) and she gave the guy some torrent of abuse. Haha, happy days !

I have it somwhere...where the hell is all my vinyl? Packed away. What a band, what a voice, what lyrics. Come back to us soon, get those musicians. Fantastic band. Although this track was recorded two decades after the Shirelles' song "He Hit Me (But it felt like a kiss)- written by the otherwise wonderful Carole King and Gerry Goffin - it seems like a lifetime, but it shows how far the experience of women had come. Back in the 80s all the cool girls loved the the Au Pairs, so a teenage lad like me got into them and I still love their music.
