I started doing this drill after I turned pro in 2002. Since then, I have always added this into my training schedule. I do this on average at least 3 times a week and often will combine this with my bag work standing. I try to mimic the standing to ground, up and down nature of mma fights. This helps a lot with the anaerobic conditioning and helps develop good body mechanics in order to keep position and land hard strikes.
