On that part when you're setting up the controls, you should of gone into the option menu on the title screen cause that's an easy way to set up the buttons. Hope that helps.

I have this game since I was young, it's difficult at first, but when you get the hang of it, it's not that impossible to beat :P. Love the music too.

The difficulty drops like a rock in the final few worlds, but the first world is absurdly long.

I've recently played through the game again and got to world 3 without loosing all my continues, but there are some really badly done segments. The time limits don't help either.

I agree that the first world is the hardest one, I usually skip that one when I play the game. And the time limits are indeed really annoying. I think there are bonus levels, but then they're only available on the hard mode, and I NEVER play in hard mode, WAY too little time :)
