It is very simple, remember that polygamy was a practice until it became illegal.

So the world took from us a practice revealed by the Lord, now the world wants to make gay marriage legal, so Gay couples can acclaim all their rights within the church since they are not doing anything wrong from the constitution's point of view. because one of our articles of faith says that we will honor the law.

I like ur videos, unfortunately can't agree with all you say.

wow all this stupid comments make me sick!people I want you understand, I'm gay and I want to get married, I pay my taxes as well as the straights, so if we cant have the same rights to get married why we pay taxes?, we make lots of money and without our taxes many poor straights people couldnt ever get food or medical services, think about it, I was mormon and this church is not right, how they will tell me i'm accepted as a gay person but they dont accept I'm sleeping with my husband?

PROP 8 TAKES AWAY RIGHTS

1. Eliminates same-sex couples right to marry

2. Public employees excluded from long-term care insurance

3. Spouse of veteran can no longer collect all state benefits when veteran passes away

4. Spouses can no longer share property

5. Joint tax returns banned

6. Transfer of assets over $11,000 no longer tax exempt

7. Can not change family name without court order

8. Parenthood of same-sex couples threatened if family moves out of California

It wouldn't be seen as a blunder to the Church, perchance by those on the outside, or those wishing to find reason to leave, but the history bares out that the Church itself sticks to it's guns on things like this, that's why the vote to repeal prohibition, having hinged on Utah, received an open and harsh reprimand from the prophet to the Church. In fact the whole of the image the prevailing currents in society try to give to the repeal of prohibition is one of the ultimate spin.

This a late response to your comment given that prop 8 has passed and is in jeopardy of being overturned :)...If it does get overturned as it should instead of raising more money from your religious cult to get same sex marriage banned instead raise money for those who are in need not to loose their homes..
