@CJM8911 St anton is great fun. The infrastructure is very modern which means you don't have to wait too long for lifts. Plenty of pistes of all different grades and the schools are good. The other good thing about skiing in Austria as opposed to other parts of europe is the transfers from the airport are short. Loads of good restaurants and bars too blah blah blah.

You'll have a blast.

Cool video. I too use Sony Vegas for all my editing. Im on the Vegas Moovie Studio Platinum 9.0 version. Awsome software. Cheap to download and easy to learn and use. I highly reccomend it. Im on my way to stanton at the end of this month. Great resort for skiing.

Great! I love skiing, i have invented some interesting ways of falling over... For instance, when i went off-piste into the thick snow, i found my way onto a small jump, messed up and ended up face first in the snow, the fronts of my skis stuck in the snow... and then getting the skis back on again on a black slope...

there is only one. the field of view changes with the quality. 720p (the one used) has a wider field of view.

thanks. will be using it for R/C mainly, too. Just went out to test it a bit :) like it so far ... one or two minor issues: 60fps recording on a 4gb disk fills it up very quickly and the menu is a little slow. other than that, great camera.

if you're going to be using it for R/C, will you be able to view the video LIVE through your video goggles? Or, will you be watching the recording after you've landed and hooked up to a computer? Great Video, they should use your footage in thier advertising:) Thanks!

thanks. I won't be using the GoPro for live video out (but it's possible). I have a second video camera on board to give me the live downlink needed. The GoPro will record passively with a higher quality.

I will be switching it a lot between planes - not something that should be done with a camera that is supposed to work reliably. connectors will wear out, or the camera will fall off the pan&tilt mount, etc. by keeping it as a "passive recorder" I have a lot more options to use this camera.
