@themaineguy I'm sure Stephen Murray has his side of the story, however, I find it very unusual that the police academy instructor would throw a fellow officer under the bus like that and tell cadets that this trooper got into hot water with internal affairs because of complaints from people he stopped that claimed he verbally berated them and exacerbated the situation. Granted, the academy instructor did say that stops should be done in the manner seen in this video.

@Jrabit207 The guy has either a Maine or a New Hampshire accent. It's a sub accent from the well-known Boston accent. As you may know the Boston accent consists of shortening the "ar" sound to "ah" (Car = Cah and Yard = yahd). Maine and N.H. accents extend it to "er" sound-ending words such as "here" and "there" (Not hea but thea)

I remember seeing this at the academy. This guy is a moron. The trooper was way too cool. I don't think I could have put up his this drivers crap that long. "By the way sir, is that an open container in your console?" "I'm glad your wife paid your insurance, now she can pay for your ticket you pantywaste old bastard!" The cop actually lost his job after this... He allegedly have numerous civilian complaints. You can see he is being a little sarcastic. Only two people know what happened during the unfilmed 1st half of the car stop. There was also stories of him getting in trouble for releasing the film to the public. Either way it's still entertaining
