so many of these police chase videos are being shot from a police helecopter, and if police had any consideration for public saftey they would have backed off the chase and followed with the chopper. The fact is that the police are a bunch of grown up bullies and a good adrenaline filled chase is an opportunity they will never turn down despite the risk to the public
@dsfsteve Clearly you not only foolishly trust in procedures to keep you safe, but you approve of laws and procedures being made without public involvement. So to sum it up I don't care about procedures, I care about little things like common sense, public saftey and this video doesn't display that cops operate by it, furthermore if you haven't yet felt the chains of the police around your neck you just haven't strayed far enough away from where they want you to be to get yanked back.
Instead of 35% ending in a crash maybe the police shouldn't chase people driving without licenses or stupid ass shit like that then maybe more innocent people would still be alive...stupid fucking pigs!
@91Chevy305 Maybe people should follow the law. Follow. Thats a funny word, oh yea it means to have someone else lead, wait, what if those leading are say, stupid, corrupt, don't think enough of us to let us make the laws for ourselves, or display a clear disregard for our saftey like the police in this video! Oh and by the way most people who are law abiding are not innocent, just obedient. Remember laws are a perspective of right and wrong, and no more legitimate than any educated persons.
I like that percentage. 3-something % of pursuits are to catch dangerous offenders. So the maker of the video is saying that if someone's being pulled over for speeding or having an expired tag, and they don't stop...the police should just let them go? What would be the point of even trying to enforce traffic laws at that point?
The stats are to show that it is not necessary to indanger lives to stop a person for a minor offence, expecially when you could easily tail them from a helicopter and just corner them later on when its not in a densly populated area. Oh and for the person who said I will lose my argument. Well I got 100% on the debate and infact did win. But than again, most people replying to my post are in America, where its better to kill 4, cost hundreds of thousands in damages, to give a person a $250 fine
It's a fine idea, but you have to consider the numbers. There's no exact number of tickets given per year, but the LOW end of the estimate is 25 million. Divide that between 50 states (obviously some will have more than others, but just for the argument), that gives almost 1400 tickets per day per state. For discussion, the CHP has 8 helicopters. You expect them to follow 1400 people each day? Ground units will still have to catch up to them. If the person chooses to run, it's their fault.
The debate I had was simple to suggest other ways to tackle highspeed chases. Why engage in an unnecessary, life threating, property damageing chase to give a person a fine? You could easily get a helicopter to follow, lay spikes, or road block. But than again, puting people in jail is big business in USA.
1:27 The original video had a green car chased by the police. Are was an edited verison in which the green car was made to look like a police car and chasing a guy on a bicycle that was added in. At 1:24, you can see a "bicyclist" coming from between the red and black semi and "slips" though the yellow semi trucks. Search "Truckers stop persuit" on Youtube and see the original one.
Your chase policy sucks coz it leads to : -1) Damage to public property.2) Injury to innocents.3) Damage to the property owned by innocents (like cars, etc.) and 4) which song is this?
Great video, but loser music and what's with blaming the cops? You're probably the same kind of person who blames a home owner that shoots an intruder.
LOL. Sorry I am a recruit, we were doing inclass debates and I was on the team that was against police chases,so I had to do my best to prove it was wrong
Uhh, oh ok. Haha... One thing I was thinking was, how are the cops supposed to know whether the guy is a dangerous criminal or not! lol Have a great holiday.
If it is a random chase they dont know but if the person is fleeing a scene and they can be identified, they will be able to tell if it is a dangerous criminal.

@lutionaz Clearly you have no idea of any sorts when it comes to police procedure, just like the creator of this video.
