But speed actually CAN kill; if you are speeding along, you have much less time to think or react when driving. If you are going even 10mph slower, you could swerve from an oncoming car or avoid hitting (and killing) someone.
Nope. Speed in itself does not kill. Stupid drivers that do not know where they can safely drive fast and where not does the killing. Compare the death toll on South African roads(speed limit 120 km/h) to the death toll on e.g. German Autobahns (no speed limit). Also take into consideration that the volumes on the German roads are much higher than those on SA roads, and then still tell me that it is the "speed" that kills. It is human idiocy that kills
