  • Always sounds fresh, no matter how many times I listen. Craig's a real class act. So creative, and his playing is impeccable. Can't wait to hear his new blues CD. Thanks for the great video-- wish there was more!

  • I've always wanted a Carvin because they are probaly the finest qaulity USA guitars made and now I'm finally getting one. After WAY too many hours fawning over every option and color I'm going with the Bolt Plus T (gotta have 22 frets) in white/white with matching headstock with the M22's in black and black hardware with S/S med jumbo frets... talk about dream axes. cant wait... should have it in about 5-6 weeks. and with Carvin's 50% off options and free case sale going on its worth every penny

  • Chaquico = One helluva underrated guitarist.

  • pretty bad ass he pulled out the zeppelin lol and the santana was sweet too i was thinking they were quite similar in style before he even played that

  • From Mr. C. himself:

Its the carvin BOLT. standard issue. but im getting a new tricked out custom one built with exotic wood.

  • Does anyone know what model Carvin this is?

  • Saw him last night in Ashland at the West Coast Live show at the Bowmer ... FANTASTIC!!!

  • Does anyone know where I can get piano music for this?

  • His Blue Moon & Accoustic Highway CD's have been 2 of my favorite contemporary jazz compilations, for quite some time.

  • underated.i always thought he was great in starship.

  • wow I didn't know he was a shredder lol

  • Thanks again Craig for composing seattle Child and put it on your cd '' from the redwoods to the rockies'' I am glad i inspired you to compose it. Sue and i are still very close to Leon hendrix. His dad Al passed in 2002...See you around.. Arthur and Cherokee Sue

  • Didn't Craig start off in a band called Steelwind

with Jack Traylor before J Starship?

  • Yes he did. He played on the album "Child of Nature"

  • carvin guitars are the best!!

i play out of a bolt and a carvin sx200

soon to be upgraded to a V3 2x12

    So sickkk!

  • He plays and is sponsored by Carvin, the MOST underrated guitars in the world and augurably the best.

  • Craig Chaquico, one the most highly underrated guitarist's in the history of rock n' roll.

    For real !!!!

  • I don't think he is underrated.

I just think that not many people have heard of him!

Anyone that has heard his playing KNOWS he is a fantastic guitarist

  • Well, I guess I could have said he is one of the most highly unrecognized guitarist's in the history of rock n' roll. But, a big word unrecognized is pushing my limited vocabulary. lol. j / k. Yeah that Craig is one helluva guitarist to be certain.

  • On that we are both agreed. Been a fan of his playing since I heard his work on Spitfire and Red Octopus.

Unfortunately I don't think he has ever played over here in the UK. I hope he will correct that sometime soon.

  • He reminds me of Mozart who also thought like a singer and a lead guitarist, with one note dancing above all the other notes....AND phrasings that are entertaining and memorable AND the layers all come together. It's totally brilliant, and I can't really describe it all, but basically, the music is just awesome!

Being a songwriter, I am finding the word "awesome" so much in my mind, I can't even think anymore...it just works alot!!! hee hee!

  • I am soooooo sad about the fact that the smooth jazz station in my town left the airways and is now only on HD radio. Im so bummed. At night, I would tune in to my smooth jazz station and relax away. Now its gone! Freak HD radio!

  • I went over to carvin in santa ana the other day and just so happen to stumble into a chaquico clinic. Really good player and a super nice guy.

  • hahahhah i was at that?

    were you the mexican kid?

  • Through the years I have seen many live shows, Craig is one of the most exciting and awesome guitar players ever, if you ever get the chance to see him perform go. A true professional..Uncle Louie

  • from 70s rock to smooth jazz what a musical journey, this guy is the real deal

  • my granda is friends with craig, she works at carvin making pick ups and sees him at carvin all the time. his bolt is great

  • Im best friends with his son and I just had dinner with him and his family last week. he plays something for me and my family everytime we go over to his house

  • I was lucky enough to see Craig several times when he was with "Jack Traylor & Steelwind"

  • Love this song, I am a longtime fan of Craig's he is one of the last greats that is still performing.

  • He is such an amazing player! IMHO, 3 really GREAT guitar players are Pat Metheny, Pete Townshend, and Craig Chaquico.

  • I agree!!!

  • is this a carvin bolt-on strat!

  • I was at the party on the SS Norway in '99 that inspired this piece of music. :)

  • I was there too, working as a Casino Staff! Had an authographed CD from Craig which was lost unfortunately (actually borrowed and never returned by a fellow crew member). Never forget that time, Craig's fluid guitar playing still fresh in my mind.

  • I have had the pleasure of seeing Craig perform live many times, he is just the best live..go see him..his new show rocks!

  • I miss the Starship, Craig's solo on "Jane" is one of rocks all time best!!

  • Mr. Chaquico performs "Jane" on his new tour!

He also plays "Voodoo Child" and "Find your way back" with Rolf Hartley on vocals.

  • Wow!Thanks for the info I will try to see one of his shows soon, what a player..

  • Sweet Post,Thanks

  • Great player great tone and a Great Carvin Guitar.

  • Hot guitar player, would love to hear the rest! Thanks much, Mestizo Rock rules.........
