I think they opted for the Xbox avatars cause it will make online play a lot easier, cause lord forbid you make a game for the Xbox that isn't online playable. The actual in game animation and gameplay does not look promising, there was a video posted from Penny Arcade Expo. Hopefully they fix it cause even the developer couldn't play the game for the life of him.

Well if the gameplay stays intact and they keep doing what they have been doing for years this will be a good and very deep game BUT if they fuck it up to pander to, as some would put it "casuals" than this might kill the series.
Hopefully it will retain the features that made Fire-Pro so awesome. The caricatures of the real life wrestlers [from WWE,Japanese Prowrestling and MMA and K-1] and a really awesome CAW mode.
Hopefully it won't just turn out to be a "My 360 avatar versus your 360 avatar."

This is like if AKI/syn Sophia made a wrestling game on the Wii called "Virtual Pro-Wrestling", it has Miis, and looks, plays and feels NOTHING like the N64 wrestling games or the Def Jam/Kinnikuman games.

They never went for realistic with the graphics, they just made sure that the sprites looked like they were supposed to be. Great detail went into the ring however. And it just come to mind, that I indeed have one M$ product - Amiga Basic, which IMHO was the worst amiga program ever. It crashed on newer amigas, because the M$ guys were to stupid to do a error beep in the correct way

@smudgepot5000 Well fire pro has been in 3d before it was Fire Pro Wrestling: Iron Slam '96 for the ps1 that was 3d and correct me if I'm wrong but most of the fire pros have been exclusive to a system just to have the sequel exclusive to a different system.

@Pesthauch666 agreed. This is on par with Nintendo's betrayel of its fanbase by turning Zelda into the disgusting ass ugly looking Celda abomination. Hopefully outcry among the Firepro fanbase is enough that this disgusting chibi anime style only appears in this one game. This disgustingly ugly chibi styled anime bullshit has no place in videogames.

While I agree with the "worried-ness", why not wait until we actually get a chance to see some gameplay before u decided to make judgement. I'm not saying u don't have the right.. lol, hell, trust me, I'm worried too. BIG Fire Pro Wrestling fan here... but let's wait and see some gameplay first.

But seriously get real, Everyone buys MS products because they are cheaper!!.. If you want a real deal laptop get a mac but your gonna pay the price.. if you want something that does the same thing in more ways than none.. then you get a PC and you get it for under 300 bucks!

@TIPPIN187 Nope. First a C64, then several Amigas (especially the Amiga 1200 was the computer I used most over the years) and just recently a Mac. After I had to abandon Amiga, I had to chose between using a standard PC (with of course Linux instead of a M$ OS) - or a Mac.
And it just come to mind, that I indeed have one M$ product - Amiga Basic, which IMHO was the worst amiga program ever. It crashed on newer amigas, because the M$ guys were to stupid to do a error beep in the correct way
