that was a 2nd chance for both Michael and Kevin to make a good turnaround. Not only that, but i saw the chemistry between Michael and Lauren that it brought
Christian LeBlanc is one of daytime's finest performers. He can play ANYTHING and do it so effectively. In the past, if Michael was written as a bad man, he enraged me! If Michael is written as an overworked, annoyed lawyer, father, son and friend, I feel his exhaustion. In these scenes, Michael was written as the guilt-ridden big brother who couldn't save young Kevin all of those years ago..his desperation is heart-breaking to watch, as Michael NEEDS that 2nd chance to save his baby brother.
this made me cry just like it did the first time around. wow such a riveting performance form christain. i love him. Gerg and Christian definitely seserved their emmy wins for that year
I cried my eyes out, seeing this clip again! I remember it like it was yesterday! Brilliant acting by Christian LeBlanc in this video.
Even though I didn't like Kevin around this time, I still couldn't help but feel sorry for him for what those punks did to him, in the jail. Even Kevin didn't deserve that.
After I learned more about Kevin's past, I started to warm up to him and realized that he wasn't all bad.
Greg's and Christian's Emmy wins for this year were well deserved!
Let me put it this way: it left me totally indifferent to watch Colleen Carlton crying for help, after he locked her in the burning restaurant, and even more indifferent to watch Lilly Winters weeping about how he "raped" her or whatever, but watching the scene where Kevin is battered by his cellmates simply breaks my heart , time and time again. I think Greg and the other actors did an absolutely outstanding job there. So persuasive I can't believe it's just acting. ...
I remember this from when it originally aired. It still makes my eyes well up. Christian LeBlanc earned his first Emmy with this touching performance, and it was well-deserved. Thank-you so much for uploading it.
i love this scene ..one of the best...
