okay i have very thick and wavy long hair and i have so many sections its like i have two sets of hair. after i straighten my hair i get big bumps in the back of my hair and as hard as i try to straighten it it will not straighten..any ideas or easier ways to straighten my hair ? (:

@Jaycie247 i have the SAME exact hair and since their is so much i have problems like u sometimes too! it's a good idea to section your hair in 4-6 section (depending on the length and overall thickness) get very small thin amounts of hair and straighten and put what you've done to the side etc. then clip it on off to the side and do the other layers. repeat! thick hair will never be completly straight but using gels, hairspray, and straightening balms will always help! hope this helped you! :D

My hair is unbelievably thick,seriously.

When it's wet it looks really cool like the thin curls most girls get their hair done in,but not when it's dry. Even my side swept bane wont straighten. I wish i had different hair,or atleast the instyler lol.I am gonna try straightening my hair agan,aeven if it takes 2 hours.

i have this babyliss thing and its amazing! its cheaper than a chi. my mom is a hairdresser and this one lady sold her 6 chis and bought 6 of the straightners because she liked them better! and they dont break as easily as the chi!

I have super thick hair and I found out that when you use a leave in conditioner while it is still damp it makes it easier to straighten and style. I have a video about straightening.

using a higher power straighter that can straighten hair on the first go instead of taking 3 or 4 tries on the strand can make a HUGE difference in how long the style lasts, how good at looks and how much damage is done. better straightener= less damage. Make sure it's ceramic plated, will pull the hair ALOT less.
