This was one of my favorite games for Genesis. I got it randomly when I was 7 or 8 when this store in the mall that my grandma cleaned went out of business.

I remember it being rather difficult back then, I may have to play it again :P

Chakan was one of my favorite games growing up. The artwork is excellent and the story isnt too bad. I remember it being pretty challenging (even on the easy setting ) as it forces the player to learn quite a bit before progressing. One of the most underrated games of its time, especially if you like strategy, swordplay, and a certain darkness/strangeness factor

This game had one of the most innovative control schemes for a sword wielding character EVER. I definitely enjoyed this when I took a chance buying it - very rewarding combat, nice atmosphere, and great character.

Necro: it actually made me 36.4% dumber listening to your commentary, which is worse than the sound of any Genesis game. You sound like a transvestite, black valley girl with tourettes, and a mild case of downs syndrome, which I'm pretty sure no one thought existed.

Wow, I haven't played this game in ages. I was about 9 or 10 when it came out. Got it along with NBA Jam TE for my first two games on sega.

It is a pretty dark game, especially if you get into the story line. The character, music, atmosphere all pretty cool. You were spot on about the slow movement of the game, which is why I did those rolls all the time.

I'm also pretty sure I beat it once, maybe using codes though. God, I feel like a nerd reminiscing about it...Ahh nostalgia.

I'm pretty sure that he's called The Forever Man simply because he can't really die permanently, hence why you pretty much have unlimited lives in the game. I played the Game Gear version, and I wasn't a huge fan of it. These games are too damn hard.
