Mohammad Mosaddegh should not have nationalized oil. Why does it matter what company extracts oil from the ground, British or Iranian? Iran got it's share of the profits. It was not 50-50, but it was fair since Iranians could not extract oil by themselves - Iran did not have the technology for this. So, instead of concentrating on development of education system and economic reforms for his people Mohammad Mosaddegh started from robbing foreign investors.

My statement was not about the facts of this video which are true (even though it only shows one perspective and doesnt use any theories from international relations or powerbalance theory). Because the executive and the house controls everything, and is in constant competition, it isn't important that all of the real power is held in the judiciary and the bureaucracy. That's why democracy works.

Fellow Americans who doubt this video, please reconsider. Under the Shah, an entire side of my family worked there in big oil. Although they fled, I also know many Persians with dual citizenship. Through their stories I know this video to be true, all the accounts are consistent.
