A shit bad that has done nothing significant since 1983..Nothing but regourgitated material live albums and re releases..These fucking clowns should have hung it up 30 years ago..They'd never sell out the Rogers Centre today..and its their hometown.
@snapascrew. Zed is the last letter of the english language. Maybe you live near the US border? I`m from Scotland and had relatives living in St. Catharines (where Neil Peart was born), I visited them in 1973. If only I knew then what I know now. I`d be a six year old Peart stalker. My only recollection of St. Catharines was that it was near a big waterfall and that I got attacked by a dog who wanted to eat my biscuit.
yeah there was a small news segment inmy classic rock station ( classic rock 101 vancouver) and they said they love rush but they dont play it that often but still
Kim 's show on Q107 eats deep fried moose cock! This fucking clown won't stop playing Tom Cocchrane, or Colin James. This is supposed to be a classic rock station! What a fucking joke. Their idea of classic rock is Barracuda by Heart and Tom Cochrane. I know about cancon but fuck, stop playing Tom Cocchrane or red Ryder for a day!
@6Stringsandme - LOL. How about The Tragically Hip? It's weird how they somehow made their roster. It's like the authorities at Q107 dictated that the Hip will be the official "fresh young" component of the classic rock roster. Good for the band. That's like guaranteed royalties.
@nesjuggalo - The real question is "When WASN'T he bald?" Before he shaved it all off, he wore a baseball cap for a decade or two. Before that he just had an extremely receding hairline of thin long hair.
I think with titles and names you have to make a distinction. If it was just a letter of alphabet then it wouldn't really matter, you would pronounce it according to your regional conventions. But we're talking titles here and I think we should pronounce them the way people who actually came up with them in the first place pronounce them. If Geddy, Neil and Alex called their tack [why-why-ZED] then that's what it's called.
I'm a big time Canadian and i'm not to fond of USA, but i have to agree, i mean half of canada says zee so im just saying, it's not like were speaking japanese
YYZ is a name and only has 1 way to be pronounced and that only way is how the creator intended it to be pronounced! You don't translate lyrics into a different language and the same should apply to how someone wants their song to be called!
Lol, all the words are pronounced the same (with regards to z's), but the letter is said differently. ZZ Top is the bands name, so people call it Zee Zee Top. You'll actually find a lot of people in Canada who say it Zee anyways
Zed is also the way it was pronounced long long ago when used by the military and pilots over the radio. Zee can sound like Cee. There's a whole alphabet with such pronunciations. It's called the NATO phonetic alphabet, more formally the international radiotelephony spelling alphabet. Other examples are XRay for X, Victor for V and so on. Check it out od Wikipedia under "NATO phonetic alphabet".
lol 1 dislike. honestly, does something bother you about Kim Mitchell and Neil and Alex on the same screen? jeez

Geddy is so humble. Rush is the only band I have ever seen where everyone close to the stage knows every lyric, every note and every drumbeat.

Canadians pronounce the letter 'z' as 'zed'. Which is probably smart so that it doesn't sound like the letter 'c'.

I'm American, but I think "Wye-Wye-Zed" sounds cooler than "Wye-Wye-Zee", so I'm gonna start saying it that way, too!
