Not fake at all. He is holding a magnet. The iPhone can sense magnetic fields. Cool idea but must have been hard to program.

I'm pretty sure it's not a fake, and on the appstores it's clearly stated it's for 3GS only. You can easily do the math...
My guess: It's not karate, right? :)
