I GOT A QUESTION??? if you buy the expansion pack but dont have the orginal game can you still play it. like is it a map pack or is the asain dynasties like a whole seperate game?

@Huttoballer2012 IT'S an EXPANSION PACK, not a whole new game, if you don't have the original game the expansin is USELESS, it just contains new maps, gamemodes, and guys to play with

In all AOE games i take something like 40 men just guarding my city (and possibly another 40 units to guard my village closer enemy, or near resources (very useful, not just send villagers there, made village there, like province) and then 50 villagers, others attack. And then i took some of my guards with them (course)

I have a stupid little question: so when i got AOE 3 (w/ no expansions) I turned off all the graphics effects except ballistic tracers, and now the buildings don't get destroyed as epicly as I saw those getting destroyed. Is that destruction unique to the expansion pack or is it something I turned off? If it's something I turned off can someone plz let me know or even better tell me what it is that I turned off? Thanks

@Steviep89 i think he didn't scroll down and put the setting to high i think in video settings he didn't notice u can scroll down u barley can see the scroll bar so that's why he cant see good destruction

I have the game too but i noticed that when u destroy a building it actually collapses instead of just disapearing like mine, do you have to change something in options to make that happen?

At up right there are player scores, time and you see what age are they on. Also you see how many trading posts they have. You will see it if you press F4.
