@mike6459 I don't know when this was released..the date on this says Dec. 1 of 2011. Why is he acting like foreign currency liquidity swaps are "the latest" in the fraud.. These swaps aren't new at all. Look at the LIBOR/OIS spread from between 2007-08 which peaked at 350 points, inter-bank lending at longer maturities was considered too risky, and the French Bank BNP Paribas wouldn't redeem interest on their credit based hedge funds because of credit risk on U.S. subprimes..

@mike6459 There was little liquidity, they couldn't determine net asset values because of counterparty risk. In Dec of 2007 the Fed established foreign exchange swap lines with the Euro. Central Bank and Swiss National, who in turn lent them out to credit worthy banks in variable and fixed rate auctions. That was 4 years ago. These swaps aren't new. The question is, why is the Fed only releasing aggregate swap data now. Hey Fed, why don't you tell us which banks you're involved with?
