At 1:43, he starts to crack. For me, this is first time, I've seen him get truly emotional during this song. When I get at that point, my loose my voice, completely; I don't how he kept going.

To get himself under control, he throws that stand down harder than usual, and really digs into that one note. What did it for me, was at the end, when he connected with that one audience member in front, and went over to them. He REALLY needed that hug.
