Ugh capital punishment pisses me off its primitive n stupid I really dont think the government should have the right to take away something they cant give back
@chelleshaun2010 Would you like to pay for ALL the inmates to live in jail? I dont. I do believe execution cases should be PROVEN WITH ANNNNYYYY reason to doubt.
What I don't understand is why wasn't there an investigation done on the police officers that interviewed the witnesses, because it's clear there was witness intimidation throughout the case. If someone tells the court that he/she made a statement AFTER receiving threats by officers along with saying they never saw the person with a weapon or use one, that should be a flag that maybe the person isn't guilty and they need to investigate the crime more.
"The whole cast of golden girls" LoL You should have been there to speak on Troy Davis' behalf to a judge, man. Cause whoever that miserable judge was should've been in a better mood to let Troy Davis live, and you would be the person for it. But this isn't just a case. When they executed Troy, it was a insult to the WORLD: That you could die simply because a witness says so...That is some scary ass bullshit!
That's an interesting point you brought up about how different counties have different laws regarding the death penalty; really shows how flawed our judicial system is. Generally, I don't support the death penalty either except in extreme cases like the "Dnepropetrovsk maniacs," where the killers were so disconnected from reality and felt nothing when they brutally murdered their victims. At the very least, there should be not 99.99% but 100% certainly if they had to use the death penalty.
@RedSimba88 I agree, but my point of view is more on: Even if the death penalty was 99.99999999% accurate....it is STILL not worth even one person's life should he /she be innocent. Because even if the person is guilty, you are punishing his existence....not the sin / or action he committed. If he committed a heinous crime, (were it not for the death penalty) he could still UTILIZE his existence to be a better person. But I do agree of making an exception for the "Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs"
