I am gonna go out on a limb here,now don't get me wrong,this sounds great,but I would think 2-1/4 is a little big,I mean you only have a 3.5 liter engine,yeah it is pushing decent power,but I would think 2-inch pipe would be plenty,especially for low and mid-range power and torque,just saying.
@KJBPSkipper You don't really have to worry about pipes being too big unless they're over 2.5 inches. I have a 3.8L Mustang, and the 2.5 inch dual exhaust I installed didn't take anything away from the HP or Torque. Had I gone with 3 inches, that would be a different story; the car would be acting sluggish .
@KJBPSkipper It's all about the car/engine, kid. 2.8l 80's camaro's gain HP with 2.5" exhaust.. MK3 VR6 Jetta/GTI's gain the most power with 3" exhaust with NO low end torque loss.. K20 Hondas can go as big as 2.75". I'd say a 350z would be choking with 2.25".

@KJBPSkipper They are 2 completely different engines. Getting it to sound very similar would be difficult. Engines sound the way they do do to the way they are made, how the firing order works, etc.
@JobeMinacum I fail to see the big difference in design,they both have 24valves,they both have two cams per cylinder bank,the only thing is overall displacement,which is 169 ci. compared to what,like 215 or something?I would also think the firing order is pretty much universal for 24 valve v6 engines? Hey skochur, someone poached your video as their own claiming it's the magnaflow exhaust part number 15765. Check it out and see what you think. Search magnaflow #15765 on a 350z. You'll recognize the video right off the bat as it's your frieken car and your video.
Partyboy go to magnaflow website and look at their universal mufflers. The one skochur used (correct me if I'm wrong) is a dual in dual out oval muffler that goes from the test pipes then has 2.25" piping that runs towards the rear of the vehicle where he the has a resonator at the end of each exhaust pipe.
that is correct.... 2 outlets on each side with 2.25" piping out of each outlet.... i believe it was muffler PART #:14385... 2 outlets would have 2.25" piping running to the test pipes... other 2 outlets would have 2.25" piping running to exit of exhaust with a resonator in each pipe about 12" from the muffler....
i ran one muffler that had 2 exit holes on each side...one side leading to the test pipes and the other towards the rear of the car...2.25" piping was used....
i had one muffler...with 2 pipes from each side... 2 pipes that ran to the headers and 2 pipes that ran to the exit....utilizing one muffler... with no x-pipe or H-pipe...
ok I get what you are saying, are you sure that the paths didn't cross inside of the muffler? I have seen some Borla mufflers that have an X-pipe within them.
yes i am more then 100% positive as i had this system built for my car specifically and went through all the details with the shop in order to get it exactly as i wanted...which was to utilize one muffler with 2 pipes coming out on each side with no internal/external x-pipe or h-pipe

i have test pipes run instead of hfc or sfc...... then it goes one pipe connecting to each test pipe on each side meeting halfway into a muffler with 2 pipes leading out of it into the 2 tips...thus giving no x-pipe or h pipe design....but more of straigh pipe design...

ok so no cats at all, even at the front?, im assuming you left the first set of cars then went straight pipe true dual all the way back to a dual in dual out muffler. if not correct me, im just assuming the first set of cats would still be there because of o2 sensor, sorry if i lost u with this message
