Because even, if it's a chirurgical laser, it's still manipulated by a human. So sometimes laser will miss the floater, and then ?
Also, I've got floaters since I'm 7 years old (maybe more can't remember ), and I guess it's not the same floaters I see today 13 years later. Floaters are just "diying part of the eye", if you destroy them, others will come back next week, isn't it?
This is a great video, it restores some faith in one day I'll be able to enjoy a nice summer day again one of lifes simplest but greatest pleasures..
Dr Johnson I roughly around 6 months ago developed floaters in my left eye which over time have become seemingly worse I now notice an ocotopus like shape that comes across my field of vision every single day & am now noticing small ones in my right eye! Which is how my left started.
@dougconley You would think that if it were an awfully risky procedure, there would would be devastating stories of treatments gone bad all over the internet... and lawsuits. Unless, of course, there is a vast worldwide conspiracy to cover up any negative comments and press.
I had this problem too..but mine not like de black floater..just a slightly...I'm a person who so sensitive...I have to get rid of my left eye floater...it's very important for me as I'm now studies for acting and directing course @ University of Science Malaysia..Hope you can help me get rid of it Doctor..and I promise to get you in my movie> future:)...Hope you deal with it..:)take care Sir!
ok i really studied your page now. i have "crystal worms" in my right eye. But one floater is really weird. the end of it is like blurry. Cant explain really. On my left eye i have a black-grey cloud. Now I am 15 years old. But when i visited my doctor more then a year ago he said the black-grey cloud was visible for him. Now i just need to make sure its far enough from the retina right? and how can i found out if my crystal worms are treatable? Thank you doctor.
@UltraGamer457 The vitreous cortex material described at 9:42 is not particularly treatable. Like trying to get rid of a piece of paper with a hole punch. Not very efficient. I also wouldn't be to hopeful or optimistic as to the prospects of treating someone who is 15 years old. I think the likelihood for having a treatable floater type or group is unlikely.
@VitreousFloaterSolns Is there a chance the vitreous cortex material goes away by itself? And did you ever try to treat it? What happened afterwards? Maybe i am one of the 20% who can be treated :D
@VitreousFloaterSolns By the way doctor have you ever thought about going "on tour" in Europe? Many people in Germany, Italy and France have eyefloaters.
@UltraGamer457 joa die dinger nerven seit 2 montaten mehr weil sie mehr geworden sind kannst mir so ne nachricht schreiben wenn du willst, hier unterm video ist nicht so toll ;)
9:42 Is this visible for the patient? Because I think i have one of these but mine is huge and it always changes the figure. Could it be worth a try to vaporize these?

Just one question .... where do the laser stop ?
Because even, if it's a chirurgical laser, it's still manipulated by a human. So sometimes laser will miss the floater, and then ?

@dougconley ..based on what?
VitreousFloaterSolns 2 months ago
@VitreousFloaterSolns I would assume based on having a laser shot into your eyeball.
