the reason why it hasent decomposed is because the same reason why new vehicles cant top old school classic vehicles and that factor is "Care and top of the line state of the art metals" now if you throw a regular piece of iron of todays quality it will rust in almost atleast 3-10 years top and decomposure will start in 10-12 years ... add this factor to how thick the metal is on the titanic and this is why it has not rusted away the animals of the sea eat at the metal more
@sanderrodijk and? dont fk with a grave thats there tomb stone dont fk with it ur so disrespectful care more for the sea the peoples graves its been here longer then you have been on this earth dont fuck with it
you all must remember that these two Mir submersibles were not build by the russinans. Russians did order the submersibles from Finland. They are now over 20 years old and still they are the best submersibles on earth.
They were built in Finland at the company «Rauma-Repola» in 1987, under the scientific and technical guidance of scientists and engineers IORAN P.P. Shirshov
I would like to see a submersible capable of doing that too, but only 2% of the ocean floors are more than 6,000m deep. The Marianas Trench is almost 11,000m deep; meaning it would require a much more powerful submersible to accomplish that dive. I think divers are working on it, but they're in no hurry at this point in time.
:D Russian flag??
it's Lithuanian flag, so its Russian expedition, o Lithuanian expedition, can't get it

@loki4145
Rauma-Repola Oceanics was an "under water -team" of Rauma-Repola Oy. It's a shame that CIA ruined their business.
Pressure chambers of those subs were made of special steel developed by Lokomo. They managed to replace titan which was hard to handle.

@spketola
Soviet Union/Russia have long been subcontracting ship construction to Finland.
