I don't think there's any anime I've watched which displayed the intensity of the powers of each individual character so well.

The idea of Reiatsu is amazing. Seeing the Gotei 13 being introduced for the first time, all of them was easily recognized as people holding tremendous power. (Also credit to music).

Then the Espada arrived, and with their show of Sonido, as well as their very dark and enigmatic character designs created a sense of absolute darkness.

@TheNile182: The quality of the animation and the music make every moment that was just fine in the manga, epic in the anime. They also go deeper into the story and characters so you feel more connected.

During the first like 200 episodes the animation had ups and downs like every other anime but after that it seems like they work with a diffrent team or something cause it all looks amazing, even most of the fillers are good: Especially the Zampakuto Rebellion arc and the Ivasion Army arc :)

@TheNile182: There is A LOT of fighting going on, no doubt about that but of course there is more to it. There is some intrigue, some funny stuff and some very heavy emotional moments.

If you liked the shonen manga's from the 80's and 90's like Dragon Ball Z or Yuyu Hakusho or Saint Seiya than I'm sure you will love Bleach.

When you like something it's a good thing that the anime goes on for so long but compared to others, 355 episodes is not that many. Just look at One Piece or Naruto ;)

@TheNile182: But if you wanne check out the anime than maybe it's best to first skip the filler episodes and keep it to the canon episodes. And only after that, if you are still interested you can try the fillers. Not saying that because they are bad but just because later on the fillers are put in the middle of different parts of the same arc and that break in the middle of a war was anoying.

I did it that way when I was trying to catch up to Bleach more than a year ago :)
