I once ate three whole pizzas in about an hour, then i ate a cake about the size Adam wolfed down in this clip, then i ate another pizza.. i slept 16 hours that night though, and was damned sleepy when i woke up still :p

But the reason the stomach can fit so much is simply that the actual stomach area containing the acid is just a temporary stop before the intestinal tract, which is very long, and can stretch a lot! :)

Also, why make it more complicated than it needs to be? The myth is you'll fail a drug test eating poppy-seed containing foods, so why not just eat poppy seed containing foods?

they didn't take a control test because they don't need to. They are assuming that if this was a real life situation, a person who had not eaten anything with poppyseed first thing in the morning and taken the drug test would show up as NEGATIVE. As the dependent variable can only be a positive or a negative and not a numerical value, they don't need a control group, because it would essentially just be telling them information they already know!
