I sometimes wonder if Liam's voice isn't necessarily that bad now, I sometimes I think at gigs it was more a case of he couldn't be arsed. his heart wasn't in Oasis anymore... let's be honest. All the vocals on the records were still good... i'm sure he could have done a good vocal with live performances... but I think he was just tired and fed-up with the whole thing. Maybe he just wanted out to start Beady Eye... ;)

frankly this is the best singing ive heard from liam in a decade.. yeah, hes not the songbird he used to be, obviously, but this is a pretty nuanced performance, and the falsetto "la la la la la"s at the beginning killed me.

I think given that he's been singing in the manner which he has for over 15 years, we're lucky he sounds like he does.

To sound as good as he did back in the day, where his voice was so loud at gigs, it could 'nearly blow yer head off' ...he really had to tear up his throat... a lot of damage was done. So it wasn't wasted. Ok, it could have been better preserved, but would we have really wanted a liam that took it easy?

I think you're right. I hadn't seen it that way. Here in México, we have José José, he in the was called "the Prince" because of his great voice, but he did wasted it smoking, drinking, etc., etc., even tho he had a good technique...
