heya darl, they are speK! I have those roller pen paints used in the 80's for fabric pictures, think its like an enamel, i'll have a look for the brand name, but they are the bomb. Also scotch guarld? would that seal your material, like on swaed leather! Do it a few times, test run first of course. Also this is a secret trick of mine, so please dont tell everyone, but finger nail polish is mad to work with. Last years! do couple layers, easy to keep clean, all with their own brushes...sweet!

This is a weird question, but does the paint on the shoes ever chip off or does spraying it with gloss really seal in the acrylic paint?

I was thinking about trying this out, but the effort will be wasted if the paint chips off after a while.

Well, I think no matter what after a long period of time the paint will chip... just like an old t-shirt, then image starts to fade. I've only painted two pairs of shoes... so I'm not really sure what is best. Acrylic paint is pretty tuff, so I think it should be fine with just a gloss finnish.

You can get special paint, but I don't think it's necessary. I just used acrylic paint then sprays a gloss over it all.

yes, it is possible to wear :3

acrylic paint is pretty durable. I think no matter what you put over the paint.. it will still wear off over time. I think any old glaze would do just fine.
