I have a question 4 any1 who knows about make up.

Whenever I use shimmer eyeshadow it won't go on evenly. It shows up patchy. In like small groups of shimmery areas n not so shimmery areas.Makes it look like I put on make up on top of eczema or like I have a disease:S. What am I doing wrong.

Oh btw underneath I have concealer and powder. It happens even with a base /primer or just concealer. I have to put concealer n powder to lighten the area or shadows don't turn up looking right without it.

its probable your eye shadow. your not doing anything wrong its just your eye shadow has probable chunks of glitter. its okay its happened to be before so just get another eyeshadow thats evenly shimmered and prime your eyes.

Try using a matte shadow underneath. It'll help it apply more smoothly.

maybe you can try like a base...

like a mac paint pot or the nyx jumbo eyeshadow pencil... sometimes a primer won't cover imperfections on the lid too well and you need to add another color so the color will go on more vibrant and evenly.

I have tried bases but they don't really help. It's not really due to imperfections on my lid, my lids aren't clumpy :S Also vibrance is not the issue, it's clumpiness. I think I just suck at applying shimmery eyeshadow. I have a party coming :D so I will try putting it on top off matte shadow like some1 suggested (although i m afraid that will dull it)

@12esmeg Nope:) LOL It gave me another problem but I fixed that problem. I m just trynna stay away from really pure silver n golds or I use em on top of matte colours which sort of helps. My eyelids are slightly a daker shade n need to b lightened with concealor n when I put concealor on top of urban decay primer, it sticks n won't spread n starts peeling in places if I try 2 hard to spread it. I mix the primer with my concealor n that seems to help. Oh Well :P Sum1 said massage the primer in.

for my every day school make up i cover my eye lids in cover girl sunkissed sand and then i use a annabelle (i dont know what its called) and the number is 118 , and i cover almost the hole lid but i still leave a little bit so you can see the silver and then i use a annabelle chocolate eye liner ... it looks soo pretty , but i love yours i'll probly use it for the holloween dance

Is it necessary to use the amount of brushes? Or could I use normal eyeshadow applicators, as you get from the tiny compacts? I'm not much of a make-up girl, but for those rare times when I do use it, I would just like to know that it isn't necessary for me spend so much money on brushes. And, is it safer to blend colors as well to get the fiery tint, other than the ones you listed? Say I have a creme yellow color and a copper bronze, would that make any tint you used in the video?

The applicators you get in the compact eyeshadow are CRAP! You don't need to use AS many brushes as she dos, but you do need your asic fluffy dome brush and the tiny little poity brush (an eyeliner brush) The flat brush you can do with out as long as you use the dome brush properly. Also, I improvise colors all the time, just test it out before you actually wear it in public or if maybe you have to go somewhere, god forbid it looks bad and u have to start over, lol

BabySyrine24: a basic set of brushes, to me, would be the following:

small eyeshadow brush

medium eyeshadow brush

fluffy blending brush

eyeliner brush

eyebrow brush/comb

smudge brush (only if you are into smudging your liner)

small pencil brush (if you are into lining underneath your lower lash line or want to define your crease color).

sonia kashuk from target (the black handle ones are good brushes), also posh from kmart if you don't want to spend a lot of $. hope this helps.
