Although Dr Brown is indeed a lot more peaceful and full of love Rabbi Boteach seems to me to have a better point, in that it is based on plain scripture and not on anybody's interpretation (sp). I am sorry if I offend anyone. I am indeed on a spiritual journey and trying to learn about all monotheistic ( I do believe there is only ONE God). @1988TheHitman The fact is xtianity altered the texts specifically for their own aganda. For centuries, Jewish scribes have handwritten Torah scrolls with such accuracy if as much as 1 Hebrew letter is incorrect the scroll is done away with.
So when Horus worshippers and idolaters (like yourself) give us lectures that all 100000 different versions of the xtian Bible are all correct (except of course the Hebrew text), we have no choice but to laugh at you and assume you are a total retard.

Also, we shouldn't shun homosexuals, the Torah only condemns male anal sex (though some Jews will disagree with me). Compared to other legal codes of its day the Torah elevated the status of women. For instance in ancient Israel women had leadership positions (i.e. Deborah) and could own property.

An edict recommended thousands of years before christ. It is a neccessity for the survival of the species, and is why some are extinct. As for homosexuality, why would male anal sex be banned in a consenting relationship, and more than any other form of sex? All religions just make up outdated and controlling rules.

As far as niddah, I've spoken to Jewish women who say it helps to improve the relationship. It gives the couple time to focus on the non-physical side of their marriage. Also, many women find sex during their period uncomfortable. As far as "no sex outside of heterosexual marriage" I don't find anything wrong with that one. You are a skilled debater.

Abraham's woman, the one who was barren to the point that Abraham got a prostitute to bear him a son? And then, she just happened to be with Child? The Torah isn't the cornerstone of truth, it was the tip of the iceberg. Many of the books like Esther, Judith, and Maccabees were rejected after the Jews realized they pointed to Jesus. They did so AFTER CENTURIES OF THESE BOOKS BEING IN THEIR BIBLE. It's like "oops! we made a mistake, these books aren't holy!" Which shows they are untrustworthy.

I accepts its status as God's handiwork but to take it literally is to take a work from the hand of God and reduce it to a fairy tale. And still, why isn't Maccabees a part of the actual Jewish bible? Because it talks about purgatory, and how one man can be redeemed by another after death?

The lying Jews that Jeus wrote about in Rev changed the word to keep you from observing his festivals. Look up the word church and Synagogue. @Rmartel101 Actually when He talked to Peter about "building His church," it is NOT the same word as Synogogue! Better learn Greek! And the word CHURCh shows up not only in the 4 Gospels, but all throughout Paul's Epistles...pay attention a lot better before you try to go against a Christian who studies!

@CPTBlackDragon07 No actually they substituted the word church in for Synagogue years later. Look up the original Hebrew word. Surprising in REV 2 the word Synagogue is used in reference to the lying Jew.Why did Tyndale use the word "congregation" rather then" church" Ecclesia" because he knew better as I do as well.
Think about it in the time of Jesus there was only Synagogues and Jesus (Yeshua) went to them as was his custom. The word says this so why would he go to a church? House to house?

Whatever one believes, it is the believer that is responsible for the meaning of their words and their actions, not something outside of themselves that they can foist off responsibility for. You can be Jewish or you can be Christian, but you cannot be both. The rabbi is correct. We should respect the fact that later Christian liturgy was mistranslated or rewritten, and let Christians be Christian and believe these things. But they should also let Jews be Jews. And, by definition of the fact that they believe in Jesus Christ as the messiah, the "messianics" are Christian and should in no way consider themselves to be Jewish.

Jews worship the roman god of war that herod dedicated his temple wall to. herod was an edomite, murdering usurper of david's throne whom the talmudic rabbis venerated out of fear and love for money and power.
