  • I love Emergency I just started watching it and now im obssesed with it and Adam-12 <3 =)

  • What is the name of this episode ?

  • "hang on, stay right where you are..." LOL

  • "Lets get a rope" LOL

  • @daleng1994 lol right, after he almost falls to his death...

  • Ok all you tower people, is that one of the original analogue cell antennas?

  • I saw that episode, some kids put a manikin at the top of the tower.

  • Which episode is this from?

  • Floor Brigade

  • Nothing ever happened to Roy. It's like they send Johnny in first so whatever bad thing happens only to him. Then not only do they have to save the original victim, but they gotta patch up Johnny as well. Always remember to bring the one additional stretcher , and always call for at least one additional ambulance because Squad 51 responded first; someone is gonna have to bring back Gage.

  • Roy did get electricuted in one episode. it was really scary.

  • Actually, there was an episode where they had a paramedic trainee, and Roy got spit in the eyes by a cobra.

  • I would love to see more of this episode please.

  • What is the title of this episode ?

  • Floor Brigade

  • What a wuss for a fireman. So he slipped, he was still right there at the ladder, and he wasn't really hurt to any extent. I used to climb 200 foot ladders all the time in a job I used to have, and I slipped one time. I got right back on the ladder and kept going.

  • He's no wus for goodness sakes. He just had a little mishap, like it's no big deal. Sheesh.

  • Yes! I totaly agree with you if you fall against a pole like he did can knock the snot out of you and could almost have broken a rib! trust me i know

  • LOL @ people arguing over the yes he was hurt, no it didn't look real enough to be hurt argument with the video grab. Gage was SCRIPTED to get hurt in a fall, so the actor, acted that he got hurt. Because the writer gods wanted it so. It was..all...make believe folks. Suspend your disbelief.. LOL..

  • i agree i did not mean to put a thumbs down i did not understand at first

  • I forgive you.

  • Johnny Gage was accident prone, but he (like the Energizer Bunny) kept going, and going, and going....

  • LOL, right you are!

  • He wasn't a wuss at all. He nailed his ribs onto a metal support post. It knocked the wind out of him, that's all. Not to mention to temporary but real intense pain. It's not like he milked it or anything.

When it comes to possibly breaking a rib, you don't screw around. A broken rib can puncture a lung or do other internal damage.

If Roy wasn't there to go and help the 'victim', he might have pushed it. Was your job firefighting or rescue? I doubt it.

  • No, never was a fire fighter, but I used to carry heavy shit up latter chutes on 100 to 200 ft. crude towers, and I've had a couple of unrelated mishaps. I wiped out on a bike and tumbled down a hill on pavement for about 30 or more yards, busted up my shoulder, and broke an ankle, and I managed to get myself out of the street. I fell off a two story porch, the double decker type you find on two family flats in Detroit, busted my leg up pretty good, but I got back up and hobbled off on my own.

  • That just makes your instincts not your best friend. It may seem manly to 'get up and hobble off' but you could have injured yourself more severely or even permanently. That is poor judgement, it doesn't make you any braver.

It takes seconds to slip the short distance that he did. Superman couldn't 'catch' himself that quickly.

Basically, Gage is fictional, but the job he does is the same as the one we do now. So I am not impressed by your machoness.

  • He slipped on a dry ladder, and couldn't catch himself, and only fell a few inches on a 45 degree bar with a heavy coat on. He would be not only a klutz, but a wimp. I slipped on a rung at the refinery about 70 feet up, only because it was spitting snow on top of the oil, and even then, I caught myself.

  • It only goes to show that everyone's got a different tolerance for certain things, including falls and injuries. I don't think that Johnny was a wimp (if he was, he'd never be a firefighter), but he was not always sure-footed, either. Still, he was effective in his job - and, so goshdarn cute.

  • I wish i could see a bit more of this episode please.

  • The only way to see full episodes now is to buy the seasons on DVD. This is season 3 or four, both of which will run you about $30-40 at best buy or a newbury comics.

  • Log onto ebay. You can get great deals on new and slightly used copies of Season 1-4.

Unfortunately, if the pattern holds, it will be till January or February 2009 until Season 5 is released. *sigh*

  • So, no Johnny and Roy gift-wrapped for Christmas? Sniff, sniff.

  • Not unless TPTB grow a heart! LOL New Year's Present!
