i go to the highschool marquis cooper went to (highland highschool) we have an award dedicated to him for the player with that helps people and works hard its called MC #88 and our varsity team retired his number iv heard marquis cooper was a great man who always tried his hardest and was an excelent football player

Wow!! I heard about this story last year but really did not hear much after but assumed the wrost, This is absolutely a sad story and my heart goes out the families and friends who were effected by this great tragedy. I'm reading the book and my heart goes out to all three because what they went through was just heart breaking. What bothers me about it is not knowing the real truth. But i guess that will remain a mystery forever. Only God can answer to how Nick survived. Again so sorry RIP

I just read the book in 3 days! Couldn't put it down. My heart goes out to all of the families, and Nick.....you survived for a reason! Who knows why, but you're on this earth because it's meant to be!

This is a really nice tribute to them and I think the song was perfect. We can't judge them and the decisions that where out there because we don't no what they went through to try and survive. The odds where stacked against them. A MAN IS NO MATCH TO THE SEA! WE ALL HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT. They held on as long as they could. I give them credit for that.

hey man in defense to cbc2u the first story was that they took their life jackets off and let go on their own. it wasnt until nick felt comfortable and was in better health that he decided to speak to Wills father in which he told them they lost the other 3 one by one due to the water temp and conditions. i dont think he meant anything bad about it. its a sad situation. Lets just keep their families and friends in our prayers.. Along with Nick. Losing a friend isnt easy.

until you are in their position NEVER speak ill of them. they fought for thier lives. it doesn't matter how and when. they fought 7-15 feet high waves smacking them in their faces. besides i read they held on for a day and half before drifting away. read the facts and have a heart.
