  • This shot may block or go right this is because his left hip is not up and turning and therefor he is not completely behind the ball.Thats why he may be having problems.

  • One place I'd start (if I were teaching the guy) is that his swing center is too far in front of the ball. I'd also work on flexibility.

Also, just kind of an educated guess, but based on an evident lack of flexibility and a relative lack of leg and hip motion during the early stages of the downswing (not much "from the ground up" kinda feeling), I'll bet a DTL view would show him to be a little too steep. (That goes along with having the swing center too far ahead, too.)

  • Actually, that is not bad advice. Sometimes you just have to hear that your on the right track. I use to play to a 3 hdcp and stopped playing for 5 years. I came back and was hitting the ball on the range ok but not great. I was doubting my swing. Paid for a quik 20 minute swing review. Got pretty much the same advice and comments as this guy. Fired a -1 on a tough course the next day. Hey, one less thing to think about on the course. Just go out and hit it at that point.

  • "looks like all you need to do is play more golf"....i hope you didnt pay to much for that advice
