For years Mirage tried to do another live action movie but no studio was interested so they decided that they'd go the all cgi.

I liked TMNT better than Transformers, the characters looked and acted like they should. Other than Optimus Prime the film was about a bunch of robots that happened to share the names of the old characters.

Even though my comment was a year ago I think you misunderstood. I was strictly comparing the Bay Transformers movie to the TMNT cgi film.

Bay's movie wasn't really a Transformers movie. It was Bay's usual explodathon with the Transformers names and basic likeness over it. None of the characters other than Optimus acted as they should.

In contrast for good or ill the TMNT in Munroe's film looked and acted like they always have.
