You know, as fab as Liz was in this role, I almost wish they had cast a different actress instead. It seems like they were setting Helena up to be a formidable long term adversary on the show, plus, her ties to Robert would have given her more to do than just be in Luke and Laura's sphere. Of course, they should have known that Liz would have never committed to the role longer than this,...
The "Cassadine theme music" makes these scenes even better. It's almost like a signal for danger. In 1983, when Laura returns, the same music is used when she tells Luke who kidnapped her.
While we're on the subject, anyone else remember the music they used to play whenever Scottie was up to no good? Hearing a clip of it would bring back some good memories.
@atmkws At one point, Scotty turns bad boy and was in prison and they kept playing The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes." ("No one knows what it's like, to be the bad man, to be the sad man, behind blue eyes....")
"get out of town before you bring the property levels down" sounds like contempt. robert never liked the cassidines and I still don't believe he had a relationship with Helena, and i don't feel like this was a hint into any romantic involvement. she just knows him from his previous dealings with the cassadines.
Apparently they're the Cassadine "themes". The only times I ever recall hearing any of the music pieces in this clip, a Cassadine was around. I believe this was only used in 1981 for the Cassadines because in 1983 when Stavros showed up he had a different (and much better) theme.
What a shame they didn't capitolize on Scorpio's mysterious relationship with Helena when he returned to the show. Would loved to have seen Tristan and Constance engaged in a cat-and-mouse game. BTW, I always thought Robert should have turned out to be Sam's father.
I quite agree about them putting more emphasis on Robert and Helena's past. It would have been great to find out later that Helena (or the Cassadine family as a whole) were financially backing the DVX, or something along those lines, and Robert had had to fight them before. He also seemed to know Victor Cassadine from some mysterious past that is never explained.
So true, that could have produced a few good storylines and given Robin a run for her money as Daddies Little Girl! I always thought they should have written in another Scorpio child what with the 15 year absence.
OMG, I absolutely adore her. BEST villain in soap history, best actress of all time! It doesn't get any better than this!!

I believe she is saying "However" to imply that she might have second thoughts.. taunting him.

@sonyab1974 I have absolutely no idea. Very good question and I've been trying to figure it out for years.

@Matuatay2 She says, "Ta, lover." As in "buh bye sweetie pie." As in, "You don't scare me."

@debraen OH! Thank you for answering to me and to Matuatay. :)
sonyab1974 1 year ago
@debraen I don't think that's what she says. I wonder, could it be something in another language, perhaps Greek?

@Matuatay2 Well chicagofrank2010 figured it out YAY! :)

I know Luke probably got/gets the most attention but I think Scorpio is the best character in GH history.

she said they had no children and yet thyey keep popping up--i hate when they change history. Otiginally, Stavros was Mikos's brother

@delidude1999 Cousin, actually. And Stavros hated Mikos.

Great clips. What was that bleeping background music that pops up every now and then all about?

There was only one Helena Cassadine. There was only one Scorpio. They were great in these clips!
