I enjoy your show on PBS, sometimes, but remember people she is pushing her books, etc. she is a sales woman. She may have 'cured' herself by eating certain foods or maybe she really didn't have the illness that she said she has. I know of a wonderful woman I worked with many years ago, strictly vegetarian. She had died of breast cancer at only 46. She was stricly vegetarian for years.
It is really amazing that doctors don't think ones diet has anything to do with ones health or healing/recovering from a disease. Why do people waste their time and money seeing these people that can't even believe or accept the truth? Western medicine is lost.
Yeah, "wonderful people." Couldn't possibly be lying to us. Lots of people used to say that about Bernie Madoff. Wonderful person. Helps out SO MANY people. He couldn't possibly be lying to us about what he did with out money.
I believe this is a complete BS story. nuts and grains will not cure you from Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. She refuses to provide any details regarding her claim that she ever had leukemia. It's pure unadulterated hogwash.
@Djlawman believe what you like but I know this woman and this is not BS in any such way. She is a Doctor of nutrition having studied at Drexel University. Check her site - she has been around for YEARS - so sorry this falls outside of your experience but it is your opinion that could use some factual backup.
@ccm800 -- "falls outside of [my] experience"? Trust me, I know more about leukemia than most doctors. And there is no way eating nuts and grains cured her leukemia. She has never identified any doctor or hospital involved, because it would be too easy to disprove.
@Djlawman Of course she has you egomaniac! Just not for you. You see apparently YOU are not the center of everyone's universe and there is an entire continuum of experience that happens outside of YOURS.
@ccm800 I challenge anyone to provide the details about where she was allegedly hospitalized , and what doctors were treating her and allegedly told her she was terminal. It's a "story" which sells lots of books, but sorely lacking in any facts. When those WITH leukemia (Or, like me, with kids with leukemia) want to follow-up with her, she immediately says -- Oh, it would not work for anyone else. If it looks like a canard, walks like a canard, and smells like a canard, it's a canard.
@Djlawman AAAAAAAAAAAAgain. No she doesn't nor would she - I know Christina. It was the University of Pennsylvania on spruce street in Philadelphia...Ask ANY of your endocrinologist of spontaneous remissions a reality. I have first hand experience with this woman and HUNDREDS of people she and Robert have helped. You have ur experience which has nothing whatsoever to do with Christina. She has a MASTERS in nutrition. How about YOU Prove that she is a canard. Her story is fraught with fact.
@ccm800 Endocrinologists do not treat leukemia. There are NO -- repeat NO -- cases of lifelong spontaneous remission involving Acute Lympocytic Leukemia ever documented medically. Plz cite to any medical article -- not the bogus story of a charlatan. If it truly happened at U. of Penn. (great cancer hospital), the doctors would have written medical journal articles about it. Charlatan stories are not proof. Lots of parents of kids with leukemia have asked for proof, and she wont give any.
@ccm800 Sucker born every minute. You're apparently just one more of the duped. So, you've spoken to the doctors? Seen the medical records? Thought not.
@ccm800 Great comeback. When her husband called me, complaining about my questioning her story, he too raised the "don't you realize she helps lots and lots of people" claim. He never offered to provide anyone with any of the FACTS regarding her claim of having been cured of leukemia. Not a big surprise. Hard to prove something if it didn't happen, I guess.
@Djlawman Okay dude - your a fooking nut - She is the author of 1.1/2 dz books been on PBS for years - interviewed and investigated 100s of times. your a liar jackass and troll. Done.
@ccm800 Ahh, personal attacks, the sign of a truly impressive mind. Oh yeah, she's been interviewed hundreds of times, no question about that. Investigated? Hardly. Not once, in fact. No one has ever asked for the full facts. I.e., names of doctors, hospital and dates of admission, asked to see medical reports, lab results, etc. Funny thing is, if you tell a lie ofter enough, you can get lots of people to believe it. Cite a SINGLE article where an investigation was done? Thought not.
