OK, I'll tell you a story I've heard through an interview of Journey many years ago. I think it was right after they had released FRONTIER album. When they had a tour in Japan after barely a week since the release of the album, the audience would know every single verse of the lyrics by heart, singing along with the band. That tells you how much global following Journey had in their heyday. I'm sure they still do, even though it has been significantly lessened by the absence of Steve Perry.

Neal Schon said just before the release of Eclipse that they were now able to ''conquer the world'' with Arnel Pineda.He inferred that the band had not toured to other countries much when Steve Perry was lead singer because he didn't want to. I've seen YouTube uploads of Journey live when Steve Perry was lead singer from Japan,Germany,England and other countries and he always appears to be very happy to be singing live to the people from those countries to me.
