I don't want to draw an unnecesary comparison, but taking into account all the stuff that has happened around Star Wars: Episode I, I'm quite wary about retellings.

Do these remakes improve over the original? Or they're just another way of telling the same story? Haven't seen a thing about them, save for this and Zeruel's fight.
