  • Yep, that's Gus Backus on lead.

  • listen to the voodoo man........great tune too.

  • Wow this is such a diverse group, for a group in their times

    of this picture.

  • wow, terrific and very romantic!

  • they were know for 3 big hits but this low key doo wop coverups sound as much bigger hits that they were in those days thanks a lot!!!!!

  • I was born in 86 and this stuff is still way better than most of the music out today.

  • @anonrhea I was born in '90 and I agree 100%. Oldies all the way!

  • This is a outstanding song, Pittsburg Air Force Base is now closed as many are. I was born in February 1957. I think i was blessed to have experienced this music first hand. Although i wasn't a teenager it is the best.

  • Gus Backus on lead-- standing next to Clarence Quick in the above pose.

  • NICE VERSION!

    WOW!!!

    STEVIE D.

  • These was an intergrated doo-wop group in

1957 (can you believe that). all members

were in the Air Force stationed at Pittburgs

Air Force Base. Like most of the mixed groups,

they had to separate during the racial friction of the late 1960's ( Black Power and

Black Panthers etc. all that crap). I know.

    I was there.

  • Wonderful. Thanks for your comment.

  • @tumsabai They broke up because of problems with recording contratcs. It had nothing do with racial problems. Case closed.

  • @tumsabai Yes, thank you very much for the comment. It's a shame race had to be a problem of the time. Yet either way I'm happy they brought such great songs to us all. As well as serving our nation. God Bless them!
