Killswitch Engage and Times of Grace can not be compared, I'm sorry but they are so closely related and both pieces of absolute art. One is not "better" than the other, Although I will still say that KSE no matter what members it is now composed of, still has more of a 'Heart" to it, idk hard to describe.

The thought that for such amazing talent and emotionally touching music the ones making it probably won't make a quarter of the money pop music singers make. And they sing about the same old lackluster crap while in a studio the music is made on a computer with the singer saying what parts they want.

@howsyourweecat1 I love the early days with Killswitch as well. Honestly, the most recent release with Howard was pretty dire. I have the CD and I do like it, however it isn't anywhere near as good as As Daylight Dies etc. I like Howard as a vocalist equally as much as Jesse, but Times of Grace is breathtaking and I believe the music that Jesse and Adam have created can connect with anybody even if they aren't a fan of metal.

Adam didn't set out to make this album anything similar to killswitch, he just wrote the music as it came to him.. so it's like one of those purely coincidental stuff. I mean if this album came out just before killswitch released their second self-titled album. I dnt think we'd think of them as the same thing. My point is, it's their first album together post killswitch era. It's unfair to expect something unearthly.

This was a project strictly between Jesse and Adam, and Adam plays all the instruments, so I think a lack of having outside influences plays a part in this, I'm hoping with their next album if there will be one, they'll have a band sorted and produce something diff

@05insomnium he's done that with Burn Your Wishes (nothing like metalcore) but it didn't get completed or released yet. Besides you're more than likely always going to get a flavour of metalcore in his playing style as that is what he is good at, possibly pioneered and more importantly, believes in. I'm all for it as can't get enough of his tones/production and i believe in it too.
