So Miller's proposed rule is that Luke's airo means "acquire" except in so-called Triple Tradition passages, correct? How does he explain Luke 22:36, which could not mean acquire since the purse is already owned by the person and does not appear to be a Triple Tradition passage?

From my experiance when other denoms say 'bible college', they refer to something other then 'seminary', ie only ba type stuff, but in the Anglican and Catholic Church, our schools (masters level)are called 'colleges' as synonomus with 'seminary'..iether way, the term does not negate the question. The truth is, much like the differing Geniologies, we simply don't know, but unlike many seem to think, that does not make it a death blow to the Bible. Please forgive my horrid English spelling.

hmmmm...that's an awful lot of tap dancing to try and create a loop hole to avoid the contradiction. I apply Occam's Razor.

But it doesn't really matter. If this contradiction is upheld, I don't see where it makes much of a difference in the grand scheme (other than proving that the Bible has errors...and there are far better choices than this one to do that). I find it more interesting that there are so many different apologist attempts when the obvious is so...well, obvious.

Uh, KH, if the two contradicting words mean different things, then if you knew Greek and were familiar with those two gospels, then it would be obvious. It only is complex because we speak English only. And these aren't the most fun videos for me either. I'm doing these videos by request.

yeah, I understand that you think that way. But you sound like a lawyer looking for a loop hole to me with your explanation. But like I said...this particular type of contradiction wasn't important to me, even as a Christian. Look at the numerical errors and you can tell that if nothing else, there are copyist errors somewhere along the way.

And I can appreciate that you are doing it on request...I'm interested in seeing what you do with some of his others.
